CIAA team in Mahottari to probe non-existent schools

Gaushala, Jan 8 – A Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) team has arrived here to investigate into the non-existent schools in Mahottari district.
The CIAA deputed a team to the district for this purpose after public complaints were filed that although many schools existed on paper and were registered with the District Education Office they were non-existent.
The team comprises police officers, a joint secretary at the Ministry of Education and section officers, according to the District Administration Office, Mahottari.
Chief District Officer Ram Prasad Thapaliya said that the team will study into complaints regarding 150 such non-existent schools as well as more complaints related to other government offices and organizations.
