Hutta Ram Vaidya Passed at 94

Kathmandu, Dec. 24- Hutta Ram Vaidya, the first agriculture scientist and environmentalist died at 7 am early morning. He died at the age of 94 during the treatment at Norvic Hospital.
He was from last 12 days at the hospital after suffering from lung problem.
According to the hospital source, the cause of the death was due to the unstable oxygen supply in his body.
He is the first agro-engineer of Nepal and served 14 years at Department of Agriculture. During his tenure, he introduced year-round rice harvest in Nepal.
He is the youngest son of the country first doctor, Ratnadas. He had completed his study of agro-engineer from Allahabad University. He had written 10books on agriculture and about Bagmati River improvement concepts.
