CIAA to monitor textbook printing

Kathmandu, Dec 15 – The Chief Commissioner of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Lokman Singh Karki, has said that the office-bearers of the bodies concerned would be put under supervision if there was textbook shortage in the upcoming academic session.
Receiving a memorandum submitted by the Guardians´ Association today, Karki assured that attention of the officials of the Ministry of Education would be drawn immediately in this regard.
The Chief Commissioner said that responsible officers of the bodies concerned would be monitored if textbooks were not supplied on time, Chairman of the Guardians´ Association, Suprabhat Bhandari quoted Karki as saying.
Bhandari said that the Association has knocked on the door of the CIAA as textbooks management has been a problem every year in the country due to lack of rightful decision of the government officials.
