Ostrich farming initiated in Dang

Kathmandu, Dec 4 – Ostrich farming has been started in Dang District. The Ostrich Nepal Private Limited has initiated an Ostrich farming business undertaking 80 Bighas of land on rent at Bijauri, Dang.
According to the technical person of Ostrich Nepal Pvt Ltd. Manbhadur Darlami, the firm started Ostrich farming from 1 hundred and 71 numbers of ostrich and it has now increased to 7 hundred.
Ostrich Nepal Private Limited is also planning to extend its business in other districts in upcoming days, Darlami added in his statement.
According to Darlami, An adult ostrich weighs around 2 hundred and 50 kg. The market rate for an Ostrich is 2 thousands per Kg.
