Peace and statute guaranteed: Chairman Regmi

Ilam, Dec 3 – Chairman of Interim Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi has said drafting of a new constitution and durable peace has been guaranteed with the successful completion of the November 19 Constituent Assembly (CA) election.
"The CA election has led the country towards a new course and the nation will see peace and political stability," he said. Chairman Regmi also thanked one and all for their support to hold the CA election successfully.
Taking part in the diamond jubilee birth anniversary of Kirat religious leader Atmanand Lingden at Mangsebung of Banjho VDC of Ilam on Tuesday, Chairman Regmi pledged to make efforts to upgrade the Falgunanda route linking Damak of Jhapa to Rabi of Ilam and to hold discussion to give a public holiday on the birth anniversary (Kattik 25) of national luminary Falguananda.
Also speaking on the occasion, newly elected Constituent Assembly member Subas Chandra Nembang said the Ilam constituency no. 2 is backward in view of the development and urged the government to pay special attention for its development.
