Two arrested with silver ornaments in Parsa

Birgunj, Dec 3 – Police have arrested two persons with smuggled silver ornaments in Parsa district on Tuesday morning.
The arrested are Guddu Kumar Sonar and Prashant Mishra of Katahariya VDC-5 in Rautahat district, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Basudev Khatiwada.
Police arrested them from Birgunj-19 while they were smuggling in the silver ornaments including two chains, 11 silver lockets, and eight ear rings, among others, from India.
The seized silver ornaments would be handed over to the Birgunj Customs Office, added Khatiwada.
Meanwhile, a joint team of the District Police Office, Parsa, and Area Police Office, Pokhariya, raided a narcotics factory at Mudli VDC this morning and arrested eight people from there.
The team raided the factory acting on a special tip-off. Sub-Inspector at the Area Police Office, Pokhariya, Krishna Lamichhane, said that the arrested are Rajan Patel, Baidyanath Raut, Khuda Alam, Dwarika Saha, Dev Shankar Patel, among others.
The team also seized 13 kilograms of hashish, he added.
