NG grants 2 companies liscense for generating power from garbage

Kathmandu, Nov. 21 – Nepal government (NG) has given license to two private companies for conducting feasibility study to generate electricity from garbage.
The Gold Rush Company has got survey license to generate 7.9 MW electricity from the garbage of Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City, the Electricity Development Department said.
The company has been given license to carry out the feasibility and environmental aspects within a year.
Likewise, Balaji Biomass and Briquette Power Company has been awarded the license for the feasibility study to develop 3.5 MW electricity from the garbage produced from Kathmandu Metropolitan City.The company has been given two-year's time to accomplish its job.
