Gaushala car mishap kills 2 persons

Kathmandu, Nov 13 – The car accident on Tuesday night in Gausala has killed two Two persons the spot and three others have been seriously injured.
The incident took place when a car, Ba 1 Cha 3048, heading to Gaushala from the direction of Tribhuvan International Airport veered off the bridge and fell into the Bagmati River near Tilganga Eye Hospital at 12:45 am today .
Those killed in the incident have been identified as Bimal Giri, 39, and his wife Pushpa Giri, 38, of Dhanusha district and the injured are Bipana Chhetri, 22, Lila Dhakal and Narayan Mainali, 22, of Udayapur district, said DSP Ahinarayan Kafle of Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala.
Dhakal´s right hand has been fractured, it is learnt.
Over speed under the influence of alcohol is ascertained as the cause behind the accident, according to DSP Kafle.
The dead bodies have been taken to Maharajgunj-based TU Teaching Hospital for postmortem while the injured are undergoing treatment at Battisputali-based Omni Care Hospital.
