Malaysia Visa Remittance rate higher by 5 times

Kathmandu, Nov 10 – Malaysia Consulate has increased the Visa Remittance of Nepali workers by 5 times than previous rate. The new Visa rate is 3 thousands and nine hundred rupees. The rate earlier was only 7 hundred rupees.
The huge increase in the rate will economically affect the Nepali workers heading to Malaysia for first time.
With the new rate the the economic burden to the workers will reach to 32 crores of rupees for Visa stamping only.
The department of foreign employment is appealing for the change in the increased through the help of government. According to the department, " if we give pressure to the foreign consulate regarding price hike, the strategic relationship may be affected thus the meeting being held by the Association today will appeal to ministry of Labour and Employment for the strategic reduction in the Visa rate."
