Govt provides Rs 60m compensation to poultry farmers
Kathmandu, Nov 8 – Nepal Government has said to provide indemnity of 6 crore rupees to the Traders whose hen was killed due to the flu.
The chief of Dictrict livestock firm, Khagendra Raj Bhatta said that the hen owners have been given 6 crore of rupees.
The government allocated Rs. 132.9 million for distributing compensation and as many as 360 farmers in the district have got compensation so far, it is learnt.
The government provided the compensation amount to the farmers as per the existing price.
Rs. 130 was provided to each broiler chicken, Rs. 250 to parent chicken, Rs. 50 to chicks, Rs. 3 per egg, Rs. 10 to per kg of poultry feed and Rs. 100 to per kg of meat was provided to the farmers.
There is a rule that hatchery owners should submit registration certificate, evidence of bringing parent chicken from foreign country, evidence of payment of tax and owner of poultry farm should submit certificate of farm registration and certificate of payment of tax to get the compensation amount.
