Brick factories of Janakpur under VAT

Kathmandu, Oct 31 – The Terai region of Jankpur Zone has started to register the brick factories in Value Added Tax (VAT) system.
The local factories came under VAT registration after Nepal government declared to discount various offers to the brick traders.
Government had said to avoid the fine, Tax before the registration and Interest rate if the unregistered Brick factory comes for registration under VAT till Ashoj end. This is the reason why brick factories came for registration, the revenue office Janakpur Informed.
A total of 80 bricks factories from the district have come under the VAT net.
A total of 1 hundred and 35 bricks factories have been operating in three districts with the investments of 1 arba and 65 crores. The brick factories in the district have made 50 thousand people employed on it .
The factories running in Dhanusha, Mahottari and Sarlahi of the districts have 50% of the brick factories running under illegal frame.
