UCPN (M) candidate, leader attacked in Bajura

Bajura, Oct 30 – A Constituent Assembly (CA) election candidate from the UCPN (Maoist) here, Sahadev Bogati, and party leader Padam Bahadur Shahi were attacked by an unidentified group a few days ago.
Leader Shahi and other party cadres including Mana Nepali have sustained injuries in the attack and they are undergoing treatment at the Martadi-based District Health Office, Bajura.
An unidentified gang threw stones at them at Brahmatola while they were busy in the election campaign. The attack was intended at killing us, leader Shahi said.
The District Police Office, Bajura has arrested two Nepali Congress cadres in connection with their alleged involvement in the attack.
When asked, NC District Committee Bajura member Padam Baduwal said the party has no animosity with the UCPN (M) and had no plan of attacking the party candidates and leaders.
