Seti- Mahakali Banda hits normal life

Darchula, Oct 20 – CPN-Maoist has called banda in various seven districts of Seti and Mahakali zone since Sunday morning.
CPN-Maoist-led 33 party alliance organized the strike as a part of their scheduled protests against coming CA election and not to allow the entrance of senior leaders of major four parties in the constituencies.
The shutdown was enforced in Doti, Achham and Bajura districts for Saturday when the UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal was scheduled to arrive Doti to address election programme.
Police had arrested the protestors in course of enforcing strike yesterday so today´s strike is against the arrest of their party cadres, stated a press release jointly issued by State Committee In-charge Om Pun and Secretary Sharad Shing Bhandari.
With the effect of general strike, the public transport has come to a grinding halt in these districts.
