Fifth SAARC sanitation conference from Monday
Bhaktapur, Oct. 18 – The preparations for the Fifth South Asian Conference on Sanitation (SACOSAN) and for the declaration of Bhaktapur as open defecation free district have been completed.
Some 400 representatives will participate in the SACOSAN conference from SAARC nations. All preparations have been made for the conference and the open defecation free declaration programme in Bhaktapur Durbar Square on October 21, said Bhaktapur LDO Rajendra Kumar KC.
The declaration programme has been already completed in two municipalities and 16 VDCs to declare Bhaktapur open defecation free within 2013.KC said the VDCs and two municipalities have been declared already and on October 21, the whole district will be declared and SACOSAN held simultaneously.
