Pokhrel urges dissenting parties to take part in polls
Kathmandu, Sept 30 CPN-UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokhrel has argued that all the opposing parties including the CPN-Maoist should be participated in the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election.
Taking part in an interaction program organized by the party here on Monday, the UML leader said the election and constitution-drafting process could not go ahead if the opposing parties were put aside.
"The UML should emerge as the largest party in the upcoming election to ensure the rights of all the ethnic and suppressed communities", he said, underlining the need of ending the culture of intra-party factionalism and disputes first and approaching to the people with a clear vision and policies during the election.
