Sugar price is plunged
Kathmandu, sept 24 – Customers this year are sure not to have sugar crisis in market during the festivals Dashain and tihar. Though other food materials price have been heightened sugar price is fallen by 15 rupees per Kg in comparision to previous year.
‘The stock of sugar in market this year is adequate thus its price has been plunged, traders informed. After the production of sugar raised by 22 thousands quintal in comparision to last year, price has fallen.
According to Chairman of Nepal Sugar production Association Sashi kant Agrawal, “we have plenty of sugar stock this year, market won’t face crisis, and the price won’t go more.” During previous year, low production of sugar made customers to face its crisis near the festivals.
Last year price of sugar was at 80-1 hundred and 10 rupees per kg during Dashain -Tihar festivals however this dashain sugar is rated at 70-75per kg. likewise, the cheap cost shop is trading sugar at rupees 66 per kg.
