Chyangra goats and sheeps export begins for Dashain

Kathmandu, Sept 22 – In order to fulfill the demand of meat during Dashain festival, sheeps and chyangra(Himalayan goats) export has already started in various part of Nepal. The traders from Myagdi, Parbat, Baglung and Kaski is preparing to export Chyangra goats and sheeps.

 

“At least 60,000 goats will be exported from Mustang district this Dashain,” said District livestock service office Mustang. This year a total of 56 thousands chyangra along with 5 thousands sheeps has been brought for trade. The trade of Himalayan goats this year is dropped by 12 thousands- office added in its statement.

 

This year the price of Chyangra has been heavily increased. The Himalayan goat which used to cost 8 thousands till last year has reached to 12 thousands and sheeps which rated 10 thousands last year is available at 15- 16 thousands of range.
