Royal Bengal tigers spotted in Banke National Park

Nepalgunj, Sept 22 – Four Royal Bengal tigers have been spotted in the Banke National Park in the mid-west region.
Chief Conservation Officer of the park, Barna Bahadur Thapa, said there are four, out of the 198 endangered big cats found in Nepal, in the Banke National Park (BNP).
Although seven Royal Bengal tigers were estimated in the BNP, established in 2067 BS for protection of the endangered species, only four have been confirmed, said Assistant Conservation Officer Birendra Kandel.
