Singer Phatteman passes away

Kathmandu, Sep 10 – Nepal’s revered veteran singer Phatteman Rajbhandari has passed away at the age of 77 this morning. He was suffering from lung cancer and was admitted at Om Hospital from September 1.
His body was kept at Pashupatinath area till 10 this morning to offer him last tribute. Legendry Rajbhandari, is best remembered for his popular song including Banai khayo dadelo le, Yesto Pani Hudo Raicha, Sannani ko galai ma and Marna baru garho hunna etc.
Lyricist and Finance Minister Shankar Koirala and artistes wrapped the body of late singer Phatteman Rajbhandari with national flag at Pashupati Nath area.
