ISTU calls private school strike in Chitwan

Chitwan, Sep 3 – The Institutional school teachers union(ISTU) has called a day private school strike in chitwan.
ISTU has been demanding a raise for teachers of institutional schools at a time when the government has increased salaries and allowances of teachers associated with public schools. It has sought regulations for teachers of institutional schools and their inclusion in preparation of policies for institutional schools.
According to arranger of the struggle committee – Bijaya Pandey, Strike is called for protesting PABSON's act to increase students fee without fulfilling teachers demand.
ISTU has been on meeting since long time but has never reached to consensus.
