6.0 magnitude quake jolts Nepal
Kathmandu, August 31 – An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted Nepal on Friday night at 11:35 pm.
According to Somnath Sapkota, the chief at National Seismological Centre, the epicentre of the quake was some 80-85 kilo metersnorth of Jiri, Dolakha.
The quake was also felt in Lalitpur, Kavre and districts and Nuwakot.
Panic-stricken residents rushed out to the roads after the tremors started rattling the buildings.
Meanwhile, a person was injured when he jumped off the house in Kathmandu Kharibot last night.
