NG to bring least cost shop for Dashain
Kathmandu, August 28 – Nepal Government(NG) is bringing least cost shops from Ashoj 1 in order to provide customer goods and services at minimal cost targeted for upcoming festival Dashain, Tihar and chhat.
The minimal cost shop will provide discount on the products of Nepal Food Corporation, Salt trading Corporation, National Trading Corporation, and Dairy Development Corporation.
According to the director of Department of Commerce and supply Management(DoCSM) Narayan Prasad Bidari, "the shop is aimed to provide soods and services to customer at a cheap price till Kartik end." Minimal shops will serve customers a pulses, beaten rice, flours, Machinaries dairy products and many more.(Rajdhani Daily mentioned)
As per the Bidari, sugar will have discount of 5 rs per kg , salt and rice will have 2 rupees of discount and ghee will be available at 10 rs discounted rate.
The minimal shops will be operated at Various places in valley. Places include: National trading limited office-Teku, Salt Trading Corporation-Kalimati, Department of food and supply Management-Thapathali, Lalitpur-lagankhel, Koteshwor and Bhaktapur.
The facility will also be available outside the valley- Bidari said. DoCSM has demanded 3 crore and 29 lakhs rupees with ministry of finance for providing maximum discount to customers.
