MoI to bring Industrial Entrepreneurship Act

Kathmandu, August 24 – The Ministry of Industry(MoI) has prepared to bring an industrialentr epreneurship act through ordinance to address problems in industry sector.
The act will address new industrial policies, intellectual property protection policies as well as power crisis, labor problems, and distrust between employers and laborers.
Secretary of the Ministry Krishna Gyawali said making the Trade Environment Studies conducted by the FNCCI public, said the act will be brought as an umbrella act for protection of the industry sector.
The report prepared after studies in Banke, Pyuthan, Dang, Kailali and Surkhet districts states that problems were faced in industries due to load shedding, strikes and political instability as well as labor shortage and lack of raw materials.
The study was completed with GTZ cooperation in some 400 industries, said Udaya Bohara, who was engaged in the study.
FNCCI Vice Chairperson Bhawani Rana said such studies will be carried out in other districts as well.
FNCCI Industry Committee President Dinesh Shrestha and Executive Director Dr. Hemant Dawadi also said the study was for addressing problems of the industry sector.
