Rapid response team hired to destroy bird flu affected poultry products

Bhaktapur, August 15 – As many as 10 Rapid Response Teams were deployed to destroy poultry and poultry related products, and other materials in Bhaktapur district following the declaration of bird flu infected area in view of controlling the disease.
According to Chief District Officer (CDO), Himnath Dawadi, as many as 10 rapid response teams were deployed under the leadership of Livestock Disease Control Division since on Thursday morning.
The officials of the Department in coordination with local administration had made different teams and are deployed in different VDCs and municipalities in the district, said Khagendra Raj Bhatta, Chief of the District Livestock Service Office.
The government had declared Bhaktapur as high risk zone of bird flu. The local administration has mobilized necessary security forces in view of any disputes.
