1st Newar PM Marich Man dies at 73

Kathmandu, August 15 – Former Prime Minister Marich Man Singh Shrestha who was undergoing treatment at Norvic Hospital in the Capital has died at age of 73 on Thursday morning.
Marich Man Shrestha was admitted on ventilator support. He has been suffering from lung cancer since long time. Shrestha died around 3 this morning. He was kept on ventilator support in the hospital.
The first prime minister of the country from the Newar community had wished to die in native country " Nepal. – Sing's daughter in law reported.
Meanwhile, Singh's body has been kept at his residence in Dhapasi for condolence ceremony. His body is taken to Pashupati Aryaghat at around 1 this afternoon.
