Renowned industrialist Murarka passes away

Kathmandu, August 14 – Renowned industrialist and Chairman of the Murarka Organisation Atmaram Murarka passed away on Wednesday morning. He was 72.
According to Murarka Organisation, he passed away while undergoing treatment for respiratory ailments at the Norvic International Hospital in the capital.
Late Murarka has contributed significantly in the establishment and operation of cement, paint, and iron rod industries, hydropower, banks and financial institutions, food, tea, vegetable ghee, oil and other dozens of industries.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.
The body of late Murarka has been kept at his residence at Thapathali in the capital till 2:00 pm for the commiseration, and the last rites will be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat today, according to the Organisation.
Meanwhile, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) has expressed deep sorrow over the untimely demise of its former vice president and father of current Vice President Pashupati Murarka. FNCCI has also extended sympathy to the family members of the deceased.
Likewise, NMB Bank has expressed grief over the passing away of its Chairman and condoled the bereaved family.
