Zoo mgmt. is made alert to avoid Birdflu thraet

Lalitpur, Aug 10 – The National Nature Conservation Trust, Lalitpur, has been aware on the bird flu threat.
After several places in the capital city witnessed bird flu, the zoo management has been made alert to obviate the possible transmission of the flu to the birds in zoo, said Ghana Shyam Gurung, Conservation Programme Director.
Similarly conservation officer at the zoo, Sarita Gyawali, said that the visitors were made aware about the safety on feed and grains they provide to birds during the zoo visit.According to her, there are 350 birds of some 43 species in the central zoo.
