Fake gold dealers arrested

Bhadrapur, August 09 – Police has arrested nine members of a gang dealing in spurious gold and also confiscated over three kilogrammes of fake gold ornaments from them.
Based on a tip-off, police carried out raids at different places of Birtamod and arrested them with the fake gold jewelry, the District Police Office, Jhapa stated. The police are preparing to file cases against them on fraud charges.
Those arrested in this connection are Santosh Baraili, 28, the proprietor of Ayush Jewelers at Ghailadubba-1, Santosh Baraili, 22, Lal Bahadur Rai, 34 and Urmila BK, 30, of Surunga.
Similarly, 27-year-old Om Prakash Luhagun and 36-year-old Madan Lal Agrawal of Anarmani-3, 33-year-old Rajan Khati of Sanischare-2 and 29-year-old Anil Baraili of Murali Bhanjyang, Dhading have also been arrested in that connection.
