Jung Bahadur asks for compensation against birdflu

Kathmandu, August 5 – After bird flu started hitting most of the poultry firm in Kathmandu the meat shops have been closed. Around 95 percent of stores distributing meat inside the Valley have been shut down after the government banned supply and sale of chicken inside the Valley for a week.
As per the information provided by Poultry Entrepreneurs’ Federation, meat shops in valley have been closed for a week long period to clear old stock.
According to President of the federation Jung Bahadur BC – The government must make serious efforts to restart the industry after a week – (source karobar). He argued that the government should provide additional compensation as the majority ofentrepreneurs have taken bank loans and cannot repay loans in the period with the whole industry being shut down.
