Flood risks 250 households in Udayapur

Udayapur, August 5 – Some 250 households at Hadiya VDC-4 in the district are at risk after local Bhuduli River swept away the embankment.
As per the locals they have frequently reported to the VDC and DDC office, however no action has been taken yet. People are living in constant fear of their houses being swept away by landslide.
Hundreds bighas of land has been swept away by the flooded river in the area but no preventive measures have been carried out by the government side, locals complained. The embankment was constructed nearly 31 years back and is almost in a dilapidated condition.
