Five docs to be sent for Gosaikunda fair

Dhunche, Rasuwa, Aug 4 – The Himalayan Rescue Association is to put up health camps in the pond area for the treatment of pilgrims coming to attend the Gosainkunda fair to be organized in August.
Executive Chief of the Association Prakash Adhikari said skilled doctors along with oxygen and medicines will be sent as pilgrims suffer from high altitude sickness in the fair to be held from August 17- 21 and health camp will be run. The camp will have five senior doctors and three health assistants.
On the other hand the Gosainkunda Area Development Committee said pilgrims have been benefited after Gosainkunda Health Camp was started fifteen years ago.
The fair will take place until Janaipurnima festival day.
People believe that the 14,100 ft height ancient kunda (pond) is a place a pilgrim wishes to reach once in a lifetime.
