NRB needs 12 crore to maintain its newly launched software

Kathmandu, July 31 – Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) official branch at thapathali which had launched the new software for transaction since June 15 isbeing unable to function. Nepal ratsra bank for the maintainence of the newly launched software needs to spend  around 12 crore rupees for its effective operation.

 

As per the higher official of Nepal rastra bank , the problem in software has arised after lack of proper hardware to support it. The spokeperson of Nepal rastra  – Bank Bhaskar Mani  Gyawali has said that he is unaware about the problem. "The software had problem in its first days however no reporting has been come yet '' spokeperson Gyawali informed.

 

Nepal rastra bank had replaced the old software by the general Leaser software – A product of ERI company at Switzerland on June 15.

 

The internal investigation was started after the software had stopped working from the second day of its installation. Due to the software problem Bank had to prepare the manual record for the transaction.

 

Though the software is supposed to be advanced non of the bank centeral bank in south aisa has used it yet. Nepal ratstra bank has become the first to install the advanced software among south Asian countries.
