Keshav Sthapit loses KVDA dismissal case

Kathmandu, July 28 – The Supreme Court on Sunday quashed the interim order against the dismissal of Keshav Sthapit as the commissioner of the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority.
Issuing the final verdict today, a division bench of Justices Prakash Wasti and Tarkaraj Bhatta dismissed the case.
After the Baburam Bhattarai-led government sacked him citing “incompetence”, Sthapit had resorted to the apex court to challenge the decision. He had claimed that he was appointment for a fixed four-year tenure and his dismissal was illegal.
