Additional 13 voting centres in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, July 23 – Thirteen more voting centres are to be recognized in Kathmandu district for the
future election to the Constituent Assembly (CA).
A total of 299 voting centres were established in the district in the first CA election held in 2064 BS.
Chief of Kathmandu District Election Office, Shambhu Chalise, said that the Office added more voting centres to provide more facilities to the voters.
The Office has made all necessary preparations for ensuring a free and fair CA election in the district.
Accordingly, it has updated the bio-metric voters' list of 532,578 in the district for the election. This number of voters is less by 53,000 as compared to the electoral roll of the district in the previous CA election.
Chalise said the Office has also begun monitoring the enforcement of the election code of conduct that came into effect on July 22. RSS
