Dang road section blocked over a week

Dang, July 21 – The Dang Road Section along the Rapti Highway has been disrupted for over a week due to landslides at different places.
The road section stretching from Tulsipur to Shreenagar has been disrupted with mudslides in around 100 different places. Two dozers have been mobilized to clear the road and so far landslide debris have been cleared on road sections from Tulsipur to Kapurkot and Sallekhola to Shreenagar, said Chief District Officer (CDO) Yagya Raj Bohara.
It will take a couple of days to operate light vehicles and roughly a week for heavy vehicles on the road, it is learnt. The continuous roll down of rocks and mud on the road has troubled the task of removal debris.
With the highway blocked, a shortage of daily consumptive goods, cooking gas and other essentials has witnessed.
Local people and passengers have come across tough time due to road disruption.
