Mechi highway sees indefinite closure
Ilam, July 21 – Transportation workers have announced vehicular disruption on the Mechi Highway from today in protest of police misbehave with a taxi driver.
According to the highway obstructers, security personnel had misbehaved with taxi driver Milan BK while he was on the way to Ilam from Jhapa.
Protesting the ill-treatment by police personnel, the irrate transport workers have brought the vehicular movement here into a standstill. The short-and-long distance vehicles in Ilam, Panchthar, Taplejung and Jhapa have been entirely halted as its effect.
However, the police have denied the charge of misbehaving the taxi driver.
