Monsoon rains continue destruction in far west

Dhangadhi, July 19 – Heavily rain since Thursday midnight has inundated Dhangadhi bazaar and adjoining areas.
First quarterly school level exams have been called off after the rainwater entered into the school premises and the classrooms.
Major areas of the Dhangadhi bazaar L N Chowk, Ratopul, Bishalnagar, Hashanpur, Matiyari have also been waterlogged.
The water flow on the road has obstructed traffic movement and people are facing hard time even walking on the road. Transportation in Dhangadhi-Atariya road section has been obstructed at Geta due to incessant rainfall.
Some 20 families in Manehara and Bishalnagar are displaced by the flood and are taking shelter in their relatives’ houses.
