NRNA donates Rs 5 million for flood victims

Kathmandu, July 18 – The Non-Resident Nepalis’ Association (NRNA) on Wednesday donated Rs 5 million to the prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to be used for the welfare of victims of recent floods and landslides in various parts of the country.
A team led by NRNA President Jiba Lamichhane met chairman of Interim Election Government Khil Raj Regmi and handed over the cheque bearing the aforesaid amount.
The sixth regional meeting of NRNA-Europe held recently in Zurich, Switzerland had decided to donate Rs 6 million for victims of flood in Nepal.
Lamichhane said that the remaining amount pledged for the flood victims will provided to the government very soon.
