Maoist and Madhesi do not want election : Gautam

Kailali, July 9 – Vice-Chairman of CPN-UML, Bamdev Gautam, has said that the UCPN (Maoist) and Madhes-based political parties do not want the election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) to take place.
At a cadres meeting organised here Tuesday, Gautam said that the CPN-UML has however already begun election campaign in the villages.
He suspected that conspiracy was being hatched not to allow the CA election to take place as the major parties including the Nepali Congress, UCPN (Maoist) and other parties have yet to reach the villages with their election campaign.
The UML Vice-Chair said that there was no guarantee that the CA elections would take place through a new government if the incumbent government failed to hold the election in November.
