Gas leakage at Bhaktapur causes heavy fire

Bhaktapur, July 9 – Fire broke out due to cooking gas leakage in the house of Dhan Bahadur Khatri in Balkot VDC-6 Bhaktapur early this morning. The fire took place in the kitchen at the third floor of house, police said.
Niranjan Khatri, a member of the Khatri family suffered burn injuries to his hands and forehead when he tried to put off the fire. All goods inside the kitchen were gutted in the fire, causing a damage of around Rs. 100,000, according to police.
The fire was put out by the locals while a fire tender from Bhaktapur return back as the job was done before it reached the house.
