NAC celebrates its 55th establishment day

Kathmandu, July 1 – National flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) on Monday marked its 55th establishment day.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ram Kumar Shrestha attended the NAC anniversary celebrations. On the occasion, he urged the NAC staff to be serious about the interests of the organization rising above personal interests.
The NAC that was established on Asar 17, 2015 BS is a state-owned agency and is becoming financially weaker. The Employees Provident Fund recently provided a loan of Rs. 10 billion to NAC to purchase two narrow body aircrafts. Besides, the NAC has initiated a process of hiring two others aircrafts.
NAC´s future will be determined by the operation of two new aircrafts it is going to purchase in the near future, Minister Shrestha said and urged NAC management to take this challenge as an opportunity of upgrading the organization. On the occasion, he honoured 125 staffs completing their 25 years in service in the Corporation.
