Water supply strike is called off
Kathmandu, June 30 – The strike called by water supply traders has been called off. The strike is withdrawn after government had promised the traders to fulfill their with in one months of period.
Government and the water supply traders were on meeing today since 2:00pm. Water supply traders had called an indefinite strike in Kathmandu valley since Thursday.
As per the Joint Struggle Committee of Nepal Water Supply Corporation, their demand to government is to certify the quality of tanker for water supply, proper management system, and to compensate the licensed water supply company at the time of its closing or on transeferring its location.
The committee had pressured government since Baishak however it never showed its interest to fulfill their demand.
