Dahal and Regmi held discussion.
Kathmandu, June 29 – Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal met Chairman of the Interim Election Council, Khil Raj Regmi at the latter´s residence Baluwatar and discussed the issues related to the forthcoming Constituent Assembly elections on Saturday.
On the occasion, Chairman Regmi said government would move ahead without any disturbance on electoral process once the political parties fully devoted to making the CA a success and supported government accordingly.
He urged Chairman Dahal to extend full support to the government as he was the leader of the biggest political party.
Chairman Dahal´s aide, Shiva Khakurel, said Chairman Dahal took the IEC Chairman Regmi´s views very positively and expressed commitment that his party was ready to extend full support to the government in the electoral process and give political outlet to the country.
Similarly, Chairman Dahal said his party was already involved fully in the election process. He commented that the government had no hindrance at all to take ahead the electoral process.
The meeting also discussed about how the dissent political parties could be incorporated in the electoral process so that they would participate in the coming CA election.
