Indefinite water supply strike held by traders in Ktm
Kathmandu, June 28 – Water supply traders have called an indefinite strike in Kathmandu valley since Thursday. Traders have called the strike to warn the government.
According to the Joint Struggle Committee of Nepal Water Supply Corporation, they were compelled to come up with protest programme after government neglected their ethical demand.
As per the committee, their demand to government is to certify the quality of tanker for water supply, proper management system, and to compensate the licensed water supply company at the time of its closing or on transeferring its location.
The committee had pressured government since Baishak however it never showed its interest to fulfill their demand. The Joint Struggle Committee of Nepal Water Supply Corporation will be calling the strike till government fulfils their demand.
