Nepali rupee hits all time low against US dollar

Kathmandu, June 28 – Nepali rupee has depreciated to an all time low against US dollar with the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) fixing the exchange rate at Rs. 96.80 per dollar for Friday.
The central bank fixes the exchange rate following the change in the Indian currency (IC) against US dollar. Nepali currency is firmly tied with IC.
However, Nepali rupee on Thursday dipped further despite the Indian currency slightly appreciated, resting at IRs. 60.19, compared to Wednesday’s IRs. 60.71 per dollar.
