MInister Jha at flood affected area

Kanchanpur, June 26 – Minister for Irrigation, Umakanta Jha has visited the areas eroded by the Mahakali river this morning. Minister Jha visited Chandani, Bhujela of Bhimdutta Municipality-11, Badaipur and Piparaiya.
On the occasion, Minister Jha said that the government has started initiatives to control the river and assured that no programmes would be stopped due to lack of budget.
The Irrigation Minister said that there will be no problem of budget and added that they are ready to provide the whole amount needed to control the river. Minister Jha also informed that tender has been already called to control the Mahakali river.
He said that diplomatic initiative would be taken with India to construct the embankment at Bhulela´s Zero Point in Bhimdutta Municipality-11. Flood victims demanded with Minister Jha to bring sustainable projects to control the river.
Purna Nanda Joshi, a local, said that an embankment should be constructed sustainably to control the Mahakali river. Recent floods in Mahakali river has displaced hundreds of households and thousands of houses were inundated.
