Continental awarded with ISO certification

Kathmandu, June 11 –  Continental Trading Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., a group of companies, has been awarded with an ISO 9001:2008 – Quality Management System certification. Mr. Suhrid Ghimire, Executive Director of the group of companies, accepted the certificate, on behalf of the company, from Mr. Hayden Davies, Global CEO of BM TRADA Certification Limited, UK on behalf of the company. ISO certification is provided to the organizations which comply with the standards of having strong and clear policies on quality management and adherence to the same in practice. Continental will be ranked among a very few Nepalese business groups to have been ISO certified after this certification.

 

Continental Group is involved mainly in trading business. It represents and distributes the world renowned brands like Kia Motors, Komatsu heavy equipment and generators, Otis elevators and escalators, Pramac and Eicher generators, et al. All of the brands represented by Continental command good reputation in the Nepali market. The company has been providing sales and services to its nation-wide customers through its broad branch and dealer network of its Kia and Komatsu brands in Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Butwal, Pokhara, Narayanghat, Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi.

 

On the occasion, Mr. Ghimire highlighted about the commitment of the company to quality management over 2 decades of its existence. He further exclaimed that the commitment is going to further fortified with the formal certification to quality management. He said that this certification will make the company even more conscious to international standard management systems and will boost the morale of all the stakeholders of the company, starting from its employees and the customers. Mr. Davies told that he was happy to have got one more company certified with ISO 9001:2008 and explained the importance of having such certification. He also expressed his best wishes for the proper allegiance of quality management system at Continental in the days to come and that many more companies follow the footsteps as the key to success of any organization is proper management.
