Taplejung landslide killed 7, 4 missing
Taplejung, June 6 – Seven people were killed and 4 have been missing in a landslide at Thukimba in Taplejung district on Wednesday night.
The landslide occurred at Wednesday night has completely destroyed the building killing 6 person of a single family.
The landslide triggered by incessant rainfall killed Asta Bahadur Siwa, his wife, son Salman Siwa, daughter-in-law Manmaya Siwa and grandchildren Naniran, Naina and Khagendra. Four family members of Tej Bahadur Siwa have gone missing in the mudslide, police said.
Rescuers and local people have been working to find the missing bodies however consistent rain is disturbing the rescue activities.
