HLPC meeting resumes to discuss CA elections

Kathmandu, May 3 – The High Level Political Committee (HLPC) resumed its meeting at New Baneshwor on Monday morning to narrow down the differences on electoral ordinances.
The HLPC held a joint meeting with the task force prior to its meeting.
All top leaders of the major four political parties UCPN-Maoist, Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-UML and United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) who are members of the HLPC are present on today's meeting.
The meeting is expected to clear decks for the announcement of Constituent Assembly elections date, forging agreement on the CA size and threshold provision among others contentious issues.
