Limbuwan banda hits normal life in east

Itahari, May 30 – The banda or shutdown enforced by the Sanghiya Limbuwan Rajya Parishad and other Limbuwan ethnic organizations affiliated to the Limbuwan Forum has affected the normal life of the people in the nine districts east of the Arun River in the east of the country.

The Parishad and other Limbuwan ethnic organizations have enforced the banda calling for the adoption of a fully proportional system in the upcoming Free Students Union elections at all the universities.

Transport services, schools and colleges and markets in all the nine districts of the east are closed due top the banda.

The banda has impacted life in Sankhuwasabha, Terhathum, Dhankuta, Sunsari, Morang, Jhapa, Ilam, Taplejung and Panchthar districts.
